Fr Antoine Tarabay from Saint Charbel Church at Punchbowl asked to say a prayer and all are asked to observe a minutes silence on the passing away of his holiness Pope Paul John II. Note: Pope Paul John II often said that (Lebanon was not only a country but referred to it as a message, a message of peace and coexistence for the rest of the world).

Our gathering today is the reflection of all Lebanese around the world and especially in Lebanon. Today our actions speak louder than words. We are united as Lebanese people regardless of politics and religion. This gathering is a powerful message of support to our brothers and sisters in Lebanon, which they will be viewing via the local and international media here today.
