"القوات" للساحلي: لا معطيات لكلامك بأن القوات والمستقبل يملكون السلاح

ردت الدائرة الإعلامية في "القوات اللبنانية"، في بيان اليوم، على عضو كتلة "الوفاء للمقاومة" النائب نوار الساحلي الذي ادلى بتصريح إعلامي تطرق فيه الى اشتباكات برج ابي حيدر، "مدعيا أن امتلاك السلاح لا يقتصر فقط على "حزب الله" وجمعية "المشاريع"، وإنما يتعداه ليشمل تيار "المستقبل" وحزبي "الكتائب" و"القوات اللبنانية". أضاف البيان: "أمام هذه الاقوال، يهم الدائرة الإعلامية في القوات اللبنانية توضيح الآتي:

المطارنة الموارنة أسفوا للأحداث في بعض احياء العاصمة

أسف مجلس المطارنة الموارنة، في بيان له اثر اجتماعه الشهري في المقر البطريركي الصيفي في الديمان، برئاسة البطريرك الماروني الكاردينال مار نصرالله بطرس صفير، "لما جرى مؤخرا من احداث مؤلمة في بعض احياء العاصمة، وهم اذ يرفعون الصلاة لراحة نفوس الضحايا وشفاء الجرحى يهيبون بالمسؤولين على كل الصعد ان يعملوا على وضع حد للفوضى في انتشار السلاح واستعماله وعلى الحؤول دون تكرار مثل هذه الاحداث المستنكرة".

Bellemare: Indictment Not in September, Has to Be Based on Solid Evidence - Sep 1, 2010 - 6:38:44 AM

Special Tribunal for Lebanon Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare has denied media reports that he would file the indictment in the case of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri's assassination in September.
"The indictment has not been drafted yet. As I have previously said, I will only file the indictment when I am satisfied that there is enough evidence," he said in an interview with NOW Lebanon.
"I will let nobody rush me with anything. It is a full circle ...Let me say that the impact of going too fast would be much worse. As I said before: The indictment has to be based on solid evidence," Bellemare told his interviewer.

Geagea: Berri Only Politician Who Took My Defense Strategy Proposal Seriously - Sep 1, 2010 - 6:35:23 AM

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea has expressed frustration over President Michel Suleiman's alleged negligence of his defense strategy proposal during the last national dialogue session.
"Speaker Nabih Berri is the only official who expressed interest because he is open to all suggestions and possibilities at all times," Geagea told CNN in an interview.
The LF leader hoped Berri would convince Hizbullah about the seriousness of his suggestion, which according to Geagea has no alternative.

Lebanese Army Frees 2 Kidnapped Polish Tourists, Kills Captor - Sep 1, 2010 - 6:31:01 AM

The Lebanese army on Tuesday freed two Polish tourists kidnapped near Baalbek and killed one of the captors, the military command said.
A Lebanese army communiqué said Polish tourists were kidnapped by two members of Jaafar family.
It said the captors fled to an unknown destination in a rented "Renault Clio" car.
A man identified as Rashed Rida Jaafar was killed during the operation to release the tourists, the communiqué said.
