MADRID - Spanish police have found an Al-Qaeda manual on the Internet that describes how to operate booby-trapped cars and drones by remote control against international forces in Lebanon and Afghanistan, Spanish radio said Monday.
The eight-page training manual for Al-Qaeda cells in Europe was put together in June, private radio Cadena Ser said, quoting police sources. Police and interior ministry spokesmen said they were unable to confirm or deny the report.
Cadena Ser said the manual described how to target the "military command structures of the enemies of Islam" without resorting to suicide attacks. In particular, it explained how to operate drones carrying bombs and to move driverless booby-trapped cars by remote control to their targets, the radio said.
